The Opening Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is sponsored by The Tornado Room Bar & Grill, 324 S Main St, Stillwater, MN 55082 (the “Sponsor”). By entering, you accept these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Giveaway.
This is a giveaway of chance with free entry. It is not a raffle, lottery, or any form of gambling.
Section 02Who can enter
- You must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry.
- You must be a legal resident of Minnesota or Wisconsin.
- Employees of the Sponsor, its owners, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible.
- One entry per person and per email address.
Section 03When you can enter
The Giveaway begins at 12PM on October 31st Central Time and ends on Opening Day (Still TBD) at 12PM Central Time (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be accepted.
The Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper for this Giveaway.
Section 04How to enter
Go to tornadoroomstillwater.com, complete the opening list form with your first name and a valid email address, and submit it. That is your entry. It is free.
- A phone number is optional. Providing one, or agreeing to receive text messages, is not required to enter and does not improve your chances.
- Entries generated by script, macro, or any automated means are void.
- Incomplete entries and entries with an invalid email address are void.
- If more than one entry is received from the same person or email address, only the first will count.
Section 05The prize
Ten (10) winners will each receive one (1) Tornado Room gift card with a value of $25. Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $250.
- Gift cards are redeemable in person at the Tornado Room only.
- Prizes are not transferable and there is no cash alternative or substitution, except that the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
- The gift card is subject to its own terms and conditions.
- The Sponsor is not responsible for a lost or stolen gift card once it has been provided to the winner.
- Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize.
Section 06How winners are chosen
On Opening Day, The Sponsor will select ten (10) winners in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Winners will be notified by email at the address submitted with their entry, within 7 days of the drawing. A winner must respond within 7 days of notification to claim the prize.
If a winner cannot be reached, does not respond in time, is found to be ineligible, or declines the prize, that prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected at random.
Section 07Conditions
- The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant it reasonably believes has tampered with the entry process, entered more than once, or acted in violation of these rules.
- The Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel the Giveaway if fraud, a technical failure, or any other cause beyond its control compromises the fairness or proper running of it. If cancelled, winners may be drawn from eligible entries received up to that point.
- The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, or not received because of a technical failure of any kind.
Section 08Use of winners' names
Except where prohibited by law, accepting a prize means the winner agrees that the Sponsor may use their first name and city to announce the results, without further payment or permission.
Section 09Your information
Information you submit is handled under our Privacy Policy. Entering the Giveaway adds you to the Tornado Room opening list, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Text messages are optional and separate. You may enter and win without ever agreeing to receive them.
Section 10Release and limitation of liability
By entering, you release the Sponsor, its owners, employees, and agents from any liability for loss, harm, damage, or expense arising out of participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, use, or misuse of a prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Section 11Not associated with any social media platform
This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or any other social media platform. Any information you provide is given to the Sponsor, not to those platforms.
This wording is required by those platforms’ own promotion rules, so keep it here if the Giveaway is promoted on any of them.
Section 12Governing law
The Giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Minnesota.
